  4. Games Workshop’s 1983 “Catalogue of Adventure” featured GW’s own games like Talisman and their licensed editions of games like Chaosium’s Runequest, but also still included a wide range of games from other companies – TSR, Judges Guild, Avalon Hill, many pages of GDW’s Traveller, a bit of Metagaming’s The Fantasy Trip, Flying Buffalo’s Tunnels & Trolls, SPI’s Dragonquest, and more. The first edition of Warhammer is almost an afterthought on the first page, but it foreshadows the beginning of the end for GW’s role as an importer and distributor for other companies. (Cover art by John Blanche, not clearly depicting any of the products for sale)
  5. Whither Wattle, Bottle Snortle, and Nine Fingers -- Citadel giants by Nick Bibby, £3.50 each, supplied randomly with one of 7 head and 4 weapon options, plus a 40mm square base (White Dwarf 94, October 1987)
  6. Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn, illustration by Boris Vallejo, 1982
